Official Notice from the Cedar Blue POA Board of Directors regarding Golf Cart Rules, Regulations, and Inspections April 27, 2020
Summertime is approaching and the park will be busy with property owners returning to their properties. The Cedar Blue Board of Directors is requesting that all property owners familiarize themselves with the golf cart rules and the penalties that are in place.
This year we will be taking a more proactive approach to those who choose to ignore or disregard the golf cart rules and will be imposing penalties (per incident) to all property owners that do not comply with the established rules. The Cedar Blue Golf Cart rules can be found on the Cedar Blue website, www.cedar-blue.com, under the documents tab and are available at the Cedar Blue Park Office. Please refer to the Golf Cart Rules regarding guest or visitors golf carts. We are going to concentrate our efforts beginning with two standard rules which will apply to every golf cart that is in use on the roadways of Cedar Blue or on a property owner’s lot.
1. Golf carts must be registered annually, (running or not) and have the Cedar Blue Oval Permit Sticker on both the front and rear of the cart. In addition, the sticker should have the current year registration on the permit sticker. This will show the golf cart is registered and paid for the current year.
2. The lot numbers must be visible on front and rear of the golf cart at all times. Per the Cedar Blue Golf Cart Rules, the lot numbers on the front and rear must be at least 3” tall. When using personal tag plates to display the lot location; the tag must be on the front and rear of the golf cart.
Beginning June 1, 2021, random golf cart inspections will be performed. A $50 first violation penalty will be issued to owners who have golf carts that are not in compliance with the rules and registration requirements. These penalties will be attached to the property owners account and the owner will be responsible for payment of the penalty. IF the penalty is not paid the gate cards associated with the property owner’s lot/lots will be deactivated. Each additional inspection will incur additional penalties for those owners that remain noncompliant, ($100 second penalty, $200 third penalty and will also result in a one (1) year suspension of golf cart privileges). If an account already has previous violations, the next appropriate golf cart penalty will apply. Any golf cart that has removed the lot numbers after being inspected is subject to a penalty.
The Cedar Blue Park Office is open Tuesday through Saturday for golf cart inspections. Current year inspection stickers will not be issued if the golf cart does not meet the registration requirements.
If anyone witnesses inappropriate behavior of a golf cart driver, please take pictures and fill out a golf cart incident form and file it with the Cedar Blue Park Office. The incident forms are confidential and the person in violation will not know who submitted the form. Without these forms the Cedar Blue Board of Directors cannot issue a violation penalty. Verbal complaints to the Cedar Blue Park Office or Board of Directors will not result in a penalty issued for a golf cart violation.
As property owners, all of the board members have these same concerns that have been brought to our attention about golf cart safety. We need help from the property owners policing the golf cart violations and reducing the speed of traffic to help keep Cedar Blue a safe place. We encourage all property owners to read and comply with ALL golf cart rules so that everyone will have a safe and enjoyable experience while at Cedar Blue.

REMINDERS
Credit Card Payments: Effective 6-19-19 a 4% fee will apply to all credit and debit card payments. Cash is not accepted. Other forms of payment taken are check, money order and cashier check. Conserve Water:Due to the rate increase and the monthly usage, the Board of Directors are requesting all property owners to refrain from water their lawns. Hand watering of plants and flowers is permitted. The penalty for watering lawns has been added and is set at $250/occurrence. We do understand the frustration. As a community it is our responsibility to work together and conserve water. Fireworks:Fireworks are ONLY to be set off in the park on the July 4th weekend and ONLY at the ball park at the front of the park and not during quiet hours. If they are set off elsewhere in the park and/or outside the recognized July 4th weekend, a fine of $100 may be imposed. Please be good neighbors. We do not want injuries to others nor cause damage to properties. Mowing: The park has been making courtesy calls to owners whose yards need mowing and try to work with them. However, if the yard does not get mowed in a timely fashion and may be sent a mowing letter. If you receive a mowing letter and do not meet the deadline, the Park will mow your lot and assess you $100 for the service. Golf Carts: Golf carts must be registered annually, and this can be done at the park office. This means that current year stickers must be displayed on the carts in addition to paying the annual fee. They must be registered by the end of April each year or a $50 fine will be assessed. Garbage Dumpsters: Roll-offs will no longer be bought into the park. Please do not place any construction debris, appliances, tires, batteries, hazardous materials, tree limbs, any type of metal/steel, or items brought from homes outside the park in the dumpsters. There is a trailer near the dumpsters where metal items can be placed. All other items must be taken to the landfill either in Sulphur or near Ardmore or the limb yard in Sulphur. Cameras are installed in the dumpster area. Anyone caught dumping inappropriate materials will be fined $250.
